A message from Fr. Alwyn D’Cunha, Parish Priest, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Kanajar:

The Finance/Administrative Committee, The Parish Pastoral Parishad and the Parish Assembly have decided to take repair works and to renovate the church. Since the space inside the church is not sufficient for Sunday Masses, the need was felt to renovate the Church.
The renovation work has been started on 8th March 2010 and this work may go on for a few months. Till then the masses and all devotional activities will take place in the old hall and also in Kanajar Sauharda Bhavan.

During the renovation work, people have agreed to do some Shramadan (volunteer work).
Since the church wiring is old, new wiring will be done. Finally the church will be painted from inside and as well as from outside

The repair and renovation work will cost us approximately Rupees 14 Lakhs. The Parishioners and well wishers of Kanajar are requested to come forward and join us with your generous donation.
