Kanajar, February 13: The Titular feast was celebrated on 11th February. The ceremonial procession to the Altar was lead by the sound of Brass Band and fire crackers. The Altar Girls Sodality was founded on this auspicious occasion. The festival Mass began at 10.10 am. Vicar General Rev. Fr. Denis Moras Prabhu was the main celebrant and 17 priests concelebrated the Holy Mass.

Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Alwyn D’Cunha distributed the candles to the donors. Rev. Fr. Sunil Menezes, SVD in his homily related the mother to Mother Mary and asked the devotees to seek her intercession during difficult times.

Large number of people brought variety of vegetables for the offertory. At the end of the Mass Our Parish Priest introduced all the priests and Mrs Mable Nazareth vice president Parish council presented flower bouquets.

Rev. Fr Alwyn D.Cunha thanked Rev. Fr. Pascal Menezes for conducting the church choir. Finally Rev. Fr Mathew Vas of Udupi church presented flower bouquet to Rev. Fr. Alwyn D,Cunha thanking him for his selfless service. At the end of the service the devotees were anointed to mark the World Health Day.
