Farewell program to honour retiring school teacher Mr. Leo D’Souza

Kanajar, April 14: A farewell program was arranged in honour of Mr. Leo D’Souza on April 7th who will get retired this month from Lourdes Higher Primary School Kanajar. Another teacher Saritha who has teaching for over a year was also given a send-off on the same day.

Rev. Fr. Alwyn D’Cunha, the correspondent of the school was the presided over the function. Mr. Ignatius D’Souza, Vice President and Mrs. Janet Menezas Secretary of the Lourdes Church Pastoral Parishad were also present on this occasion. They were welcomed along with Mr R.E Rebello, Head Master of the school followed by a prayer dance by school children.

A meaningful skit was presented by the students which spoke about the life and sacrifice of Mr. Leo who taught in the school for the last 26 years.

Mr. Leo was honoured by Rev. Fr. Alwyn D’Cunha by garlanding and presenting a shawl, fruit thali and a letter of honour (Sanman Pathr).

All the guests, teachers and children offered flowers and bouquets to Mr. Leo D’Souza and wished him all the very best. Children were served with Chithranna, Payasam, Holige and Pepsi cola.
